We all enjoyed a great day with you and Tim.  It was ever bit as much fun watching the girls get their first flight in a vintage airplane as flying myself that day.

Hi Peggy,

Thank-you so much for the wonderful time my parents had with you and the plane. They were “higher than kites” (pun intended!) when they told me about the experience, and they raved about your hospitality. I’m sure they probably told you that many of their first dates (way back in 1958) were centered around flying, so this probably somewhat nostalgic for them too.

One thing I’m certain of, definitely the best Christmas present I’ve ever given my Dad!!!

Lee and I really enjoyed spending time with both of you last week in Winter
Haven.  Thanks for the excellent instruction Lee acquired in the Stearman.  I
think we have created in Lee a new Stearman enthusiast while increasing the
pressure on old Daddy Rabbit to find a Stearman to add to our fleet.

Y'all are such nice people.  Thanks for all of your courtesies and kindnesses to
Lee and me during our visit. 

Lee and I are looking forward to getting back down to Winter Haven so that he
can do some more training in the Stearman.  We'll be in touch when both of us
can arrange some time off together.  In the meantime,  happy flying to y'all!

Peggy, Thanks to both of you for providing a great birthday adventure for Don. When he started out the morning he was real grumpy, but that rapidly changed as he realized what was in store. After the flight he was grinning from ear to ear and he still is when he tells others. As you may recall Don was going on a glider ride the following day. He said “I don’t need to do that again but I sure want to fly that Stearman again.

Thank y'all for the experience I received this past weekend. Flying the Stearman was a life long goal that I was able to achieve and surpass by being signed off to fly it. Tim, your instruction was awesome and its helped me even coming back here and flying my Cessna 150. Hopefully I'll be able to come back down soon and stay current on the Stearman. Peggy, thank you for all the great pictures that you took. And a bigger thanks for keeping my dad occupied while Tim and I were up flying. LOL. Can't wait for my next trip down to winter haven. y'all be good and stay safe in the skies.

Many thanks for the pictures they are a great reminder of a fantastic experience.

 Some noticeable differences to my limited flying to date - the plane has no roof and no doors, no yolk - just a stick, just the bare essential of instruments, no ATC, and very little traffic – a great way to experience all the best aspects of flying.

Some of the most memorable bits

- Learning about how it responds from a stall – it virtually flies itself

-Learning a lazy 8 – weightless then a couple of Gs - better than the roller coasters

- Searching for alligators along the side of lakes at 500’

-Seeing the Floridian countryside from a better angle

It was a pleasure to meet you both and to fly the Stearman!

You know the funny thing is by being back home here in Austria that the great flying I did at your place seems even to be more greater what I have done, because such kind is here not possible, I should have stayed more longer! Next time I do! Please tell Tim that I loved it so much, and I learned a lot, not only flying but the way of seeing things and attitude too. He gave me really very, very much! More than flight instruction! Just he must know that!!! Please post the pictures on your testimonial page, so a part of mine lives there, and already now I am looking forward to my next coming. Back to work in Monaco and often thinking about the good time talking with both of you about flying, about the Stearman and how it was in the ‘good old time’ of Tail Wheel Aircrafts. Hope I can be back sometime this year and fly again with Tim. Also, thanks for the pictures, they are nice. Peggy you are a good photographer indeed!

I had the opportunity to go to Sun n’Fun museum in Lakekland and to see the 3 stearmans, 1 waco and 2 Ryan they have there. Nice. I would like to give a special Thanks to Tim who help me to understand the Stearman and how to handle a TW Vintage Aircraft and also allow me to discover Winter Haven and other airfields around. You are lucky to live is such a nice Area. Tim is actually one of the Best Instructor I had, he loves to fly the Stearman and share his passion with students.... and he provided me the TW endorsement.....

As a French famous pilot, Jean Mermoz said : ‘Le beau côté du métier de Pilote est de s’imaginer , de temps à autre, que nous vivons loin des choses d’ici bas, que notre existence est faite de suite d’aventure….’ That I would translate : ‘The nice thing of being a Pilot is to let us imagine, from time to time, that we are living far from what is happening below, that our life is made up of a succession of adventures.....’ (Like it would have been in the Forties)

Winter Haven offers a convenient venue for training (well maintained facilities, 2 runways on a non-towered airport, nice weather, plenty of other airports nearby, including grass strips, good and affordable hotels and restaurants and complementary activities for the non-pilots companion / family, like Orlando attractions, Fantasy of Flight Museum and golf courts)

We loved it, thank you so much for the wonderful experience. Luigi will definitely get his license in time, and we will certainly return. Hopefully our schedule wont be as tight and we can get to fly much longer.

Our pictures have been all over Facebook today. It was a great experience and my Son gets credit for finding it for my birthday present.

Recently British Airways started a 'Future Pilot Programme' which I'm looking into for my further training to become an airline pilot. The exemplary and invaluable teaching Tim gave me will be more than enough to propel me into my aviation career and give me the leading edge over my competitors.

Thank you again and I will hopefully come back for another ride in the cub, that plane was just too much fun!

In 2003 am children gave me a gift for Fathers Day, which was a 45 minute ride in your Stearman BiPlane.  I could see your plane go over my house in New Milford, and my daughter asked if I would ever ride in that thing and I said "in a heart beat".  Well that was my gift that Fathers Day and I will never forget it.  It was a thrill I will never forget.  This year my gift was a 44 cent stamp with my picture on it setting in that Stearman

The picture I am sending is the picture my daughter took the day I took my plane ride and is the same picture on the stamp.  It was such a special day for me, and I always wanted to remember it, I had her put it as my wallpaper on my computer. I miss the special sound of that plane coming over the hills and valleys.
