Fantastic Experience - A true license to Learn!!
Here is a 'PIREP' I posted on BeechTalk forum...
I just returned from a very pleasant three day trip to visit the folks at Preston Aviation in Winter Haven, FL (KGIF) to complete a tail-wheel endorsement. Tim Preston and his wife Peggy run a great operation, and are just down-to-earth, friendly folks! Tim is also a highly experienced tail-wheel CFI. Training is offered in both a J-3 Cub and a Stearman.
I completed my tail-wheel endorsement in 6.4 hours spread across three very enjoyable days of J-3 Cub flying. Weather was nearly perfect, and it was great to escape the miserable cold of the Northeast for a couple of days!
If anyone is considering adding tail-wheel skills to their repertoire, I honestly don't think you can go wrong with Preston Aviation! Highly Recommend!
